Barcelona suffered a blow on the eve of the new La Liga season after Luis Suarez ruled for a month due to a knee injury.

The former Liverpool striker was injured during the return leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid, and the 2-0 Champions League champions beat the Bernabeu to win a 5-1 aggregate victory.
